Dom Vital Lehody at the Monastery, Martin

20th century
Our Lady of Paradise, Martin
Dom Vitaly Lehody was the Abbot of Briquebec Abbey in Calais. He bought Bustard Farm under the name of 'Dewhurst' for the monks in 1901, at a time when punitive laws in France made life difficult for religious orders, who were not allowed to wear their habit or teach.
